SESAME is responsible for placing trainees with host farmers who are, for the most part, already trained to be hosts (training programs are provided in the context of compulsory placements for French young farmers). They usually enjoy a family life (except sometimes in horticultural placements where the trainee is accommodated independantly).

SESAME proposes 3 different placement programs with specific fees depending on the status, the length and the various services offered during the traineeship : follow-up visits during the traineeship, gathering seminar.

Each program has 2 options depending on whether the trainee already has a host farm address or not. These fees also take into account the placement search and administration costs engaged by SESAME. Please note that the insurance cost is not included in the fees.

The trainee with a salaried status : The traineeship can not last more than 3 months. The trainee is considered as a salaried employee and receives a monthly salary which can not be less than the minimum wage in France (SMIC). From that salary are deducted the costs of food and lodging according to a defined scale. SESAME will apply to get the temporary working permit that every trainee must have before starting to work. These types of placements only concern trainees who have already proved their professional abilities in the sector of activity they are applying for.

The trainee under a convention agreement : The traineeship can last from 4 to 12 months. The working hours are lesser (maximum 35 hours per week) to allow the trainee to devote himself to studying and focussing on some agriculture related subjects. The trainee does not need any temporary working permit, but a training agreement must be signed by the trainee, the partner, the host, and SESAME. He (she) receives a monthly bonus.

 "AGRI-DISCOVERY" PROGRAM

This program concerns students with experience in agriculture and a valid ISICard. Those trainees will be under the salaried status and come to France for a maximum of 3 months. One site-visit is done when necessary. The participation to the gathering seminar is compulsory and included in the fees.

"AGRI-CULTURE" PROGRAM

This program concerns trainees who are doing their traineeship as part of their agricultural studies. They come under a training agreement which must be filled in and signed by 4 parties : the trainee, the French host farmer, the agricultural school of the trainee and SESAME. The duration of the traineeship is from 4 to 12 months.
1 or 2 follow-up visits can be organized during the traineeship and the participation to the gathering seminar is compulsory and included in the fees.
The seminar represents the opportunity to meet other foreign trainees and other host farmers, and to share one's preoccupations and questions. It lasts 2 or 3 days, and the trainees will have an opportunity to do professional ans sightseeing visits.

"AGRI-EXCHANGE"PROGRAM :

This program is proposed to the candidates from the European Union, Argentina and Canada. This specific program is set up to respond to the exchange agreements between France and specific countries.
This program includes a follow-up visit during the traineeship. The participation to the gathering seminar is optional and its cost is not included in the fees.
