Applicants (young men or women) must meet the following requirements
General conditions
be between 18 and 30 years old, free of family obligations
be a student or have ended an agricultural training or studies
be in good health, accept placement conditions that are known beforehand, particularly concerning wages, working hours, placement length. Trainees must also be willing to make adjustments and adapt to new working conditions as well as a new life style.
Compulsory documents
a valid International Student Identity Card is needed for the Agri-Discovery Program
Under the Agri-Culture Program, complete and sign 4 copies of the training agreement or convention de stage
an international driving license
a valid passport (for the non-European Union candidates) which expires at the least 6 months after the expected return date.
a copy of your visa must be sent just before your arrival in France
Education and experiences
have completed courses in a school of agriculture, as a student or in an adult training program. The certificate of completion is not compulsory, but candidates must justify they have followed the program with an attestation of attendance.
have at least 6 months of practical experience on a farm
have a good experience in the type of production asked for in the placement
speak basic conversational French
Document to complete
complete the application forms and send it back with required documents 4 months prior to planned departure date with the payment of the administration and placement fees. Those are detailed at the end of this document.
